Design can create a balance between vehicle, architectural elements and the urban environment.
We gathered impressions from Regensburg and were inspired by the cityscape.
Various typical buildings and their materiality led us to the frame construction inside the Parametric Tram.
The streetcar's seating consists of hundreds of individual parts. Their dense arrangement determines the unusual interior, in which brushed steel contrasts with the curved wooden slats.
The parametric design of the continuously changing spatial profiles invites you to change sitting and body postures during the journey and always retains its organic appearance.
The interior of the streetcar makes us think of a walk along the Danube. The flowing, wave-like movements of the seats correspond to the edge of the river, while the spatial frames correspond to the trees with their canopy of leaves along the riverside path, creating a play of light and shadow on the floor and walls.
